MEDICAL AIDS
ReLPAG is working to clarify the implications of the latest legislation on the payment or non-payment by Medical Aids for services rendered by its members. Working together with its stakeholders, ReLPAG’s objective is to facilitate open and transparent communication among practitioners as well as to promote dialogue with organizations in the health sector.
ReLPAG has prepared a letter in order to communicate with the Council of Medical Aid Schemes. This letter is available to you as a member to use and refer to in your own communications with Medical Aids, if you so wish. You are welcome to email Judy at relpag1@gmail.com with the subject line ‘ Letter Medical Aids’ and we shall gladly send you a copy in order to support you.
ReLPAG has been in contact with the Council of Medical Schemes. The Council advises the following procedure if a compliant is to be lodged against a Medical Scheme e.g. Polmed, GEMS and Bonitas. Go to www.medicalschemes.com and click on Links. There is a Complaint Form that can be completed and sent to the Council for recourse.
