WORKING IN YOUR INTEREST WITH
DILIGENCE, KINDNESS AND FAIRNESS TO ALL
ReLPAG (Recognition of Life Long Learning in Psychology Action Group) stands for fairness, mutual respect and acknowledgment of the professional standing of fellow practitioners. With this in mind, ReLPAG gave a dignified voice to its members when it took its case to the High Court in the Western Cape where it was successfully concluded. ReLPAG now remains committed to ensuring that the training, experience and competence of its members are acknowledged so that good quality mental health services can be fully utilized by those in need.

ReLPAG Psycho-Legal Forum
Supporting Excellence in Psycho-Legal Practice
The ReLPAG Psycho-Legal Forum is a specialised professional interest group established under the auspices of ReLPAG (Recognition of Life Long Learning in Psychology Action Group). The Forum provides a dedicated space for psychologists working within the psycho-legal field to engage in continuing professional development, peer support, professional networking, and the advancement of best practice.
The psycho-legal landscape presents unique professional, ethical, legal, and clinical challenges. Practitioners are often required to navigate complex matters involving the courts, family law, child protection, forensic assessments, care and contact evaluations, relocation matters, parental rights and responsibilities, expert witness testimony, and other psycho-legal processes. The Forum seeks to provide a supportive and professionally enriching environment in which these matters can be explored and discussed amongst peers.
The Forum hosts monthly online meetings featuring presentations by experienced professionals, subject matter experts, and fellow practitioners. Presentations focus on topics relevant to psycho-legal practice and are designed to contribute to ongoing professional learning and development. CPD accreditation is provided where applicable.
Beyond formal presentations, the ReLPAG Psycho-Legal Forum aims to foster a community of practice where psychologists can develop specialised knowledge, exchange professional insights, explore complex psycho-legal issues, and contribute to the ongoing advancement of psycho-legal services in South Africa.
The Forum serves as a confidential peer support platform where members can discuss professional challenges, share resources, explore emerging issues, and benefit from the collective knowledge and experience of colleagues working in the field.
Governed by a dedicated committee and operating as a subsidiary of ReLPAG, the Forum is committed to promoting ethical practice, professional competence, collegial support, collaboration, and lifelong learning within the psycho-legal community.
